GUEST SPEAKER:  JEANINE MCGREGOR

Jeanine McGregor is an accomplished educator, author, speaker and researcher.  She is a State Board of Education Professional Provider, an All Level Certified Teacher (Pre-K through grade 12). She has been a speaker at numerous conferences and association meetings with emphasis on topics including inspiring academic exceptionalism, enhancing memory, importance of parental involvement, and educating gifted, special needs and Hispanic children.

Jeanine was the Founder and Director of Horizons Academy in San Angelo from 1990 to 2002.  She is CEO of Mac Math, Inc., a research driven corporation. She is the author of several books including the Midget Digits Book Series (eight math mnemonic books for children), The Tales of Fort Word, Texas  (high vocabulary for young readers), The Yummies & the Yuckies (20 most common SAT words for elementary students), and Noggin’ Nuggets (memory systems for quicker learning).  In addition, she has written numerous articles that have been published in various magazines and journals. She has received several honors and awards from various organizations in recognition of her service and contributions.

Jeanine McGregor has investigated CSCOPE extensively and will discuss the results of her research, how this is adversely affecting our children on several levels, and the negative impact this program is having on our educational system in Texas. Ms. McGregor travels all over Texas and the Country to educate people on CSCOPE.

WHAT IS CSCOPE? YOU NEED TO KNOW….

CSCOPE is a progressive online curriculum being used in about 80% of all Texas Schools (which includes Pine Tree, Longview, Spring Hill and many other local districts). AND the State Board of Education has no control of the content of this material being taught to our school children!

Some examples of what CSCOPE is teaching our children:

Lumberton, Texas

An Advanced Placement World Geography teacher at Lumberton ISD encouraged students to dress in Islamic clothing and also instructed them to refer to the 9-11 hijackers not as terrorists – but as “freedom fighters,” according to students who were in the class.

Corpus Christi, Texas

– Question on 5th Grade Quiz entitled “Remembering September 11”:

  • “Why might the United States be a target for terrorism?”
  • CORRECT ANSWER (according to CSCOPE):  “Decisions we made in the United States have had negative effects on people elsewhere.”

– One worksheet on the Bill of Rights names food and medicine as rights, not personal responsibility.

If CSCOPE based their curriculum on the APPROVED textbooks from the Texas State Board of Education we would not have this problem. CSCOPE has a one-sided agenda that is being used to shape the minds of our school children.

Our TAX DOLLARS are being used to fund this program. “Elected” School Board Members

are responsible for CSCOPE in our classrooms.

The education of our Children and Grandchildren is what will

shape the future of this Country!
